I know I’m dead-threading, but I feel it must be said that the NRA itself has made clear that someone cannot be ruled by the VA to be incompetent due to mental illness without a hearing, and the rules further provide for an appeal and for later removal from being barred from owning a gun if the veteran’s condition improves.
