One of the nicest things about driving to Toronto is driving through the wind orchards. Those wind engines are beautiful and majestic. I don’t understand why some people complain they are “unsightly.”

While Googling for pictures of the wind orchards I came across a bunch of websites which are totally hating on the wind orchards.

Also these things are freaking HUGE. We passed a convoy on the 401 carrying a turbine blade. It was being carried on a special hauler that had to be as large as several 18-wheeler container trucks end to end.

Driving in western Pennsylvania near the town my father grew up in takes me down a secondary PA state route that goes by a warehouse/storage area for wind turbine blades. They are huge.

And the Allegheny Mountain ridge in that area near Blue Knob State Park is lined with turbines.
