That’s a terrible comparison. Politics were a whole hell of a lot of different then. The gaps between an 80s Democrat and Republican were much narrower then. Nixon is no way was Trump politically. And the divide between the two parties is even bigger in the Congress…especially the House.

I hear ya but we did get Trump after Bush left very unpopular. We’re going to have to keep our guard up. I don’t want to think what will follow Trump in the GOP.
