I like it too. I think Deep Space Nine is the absolute worst Star Trek. The original is my thing, but there are some damn good Next Generation epis. Just not a fan of the women characters on Next Gen. Picard is so good though. He makes the series way better.

(Seriously, I hold the opposite view as you: DS9 is, IMO, one of the strongest Trek series [largely on the backs of its outstanding cast and its writers (especially Ronald Moore)] and one that I like a lot, especially the latter half of its run.)
