I think so. They’re fun, well written space opera that touches on some fascinating social dynamics in the process. She, the author, is concerned with medical ethics and on problems of personal identity, particularly the role of the physical in determining personhood.

I’d suggest starting with “Cordelia’s Honor” or “The Warrior’s Apprentice”.

Warrior’s apprentice, I think, would be the better choice. Though it WA in chronology, I think you get more out of it (or them, if you pick them up as Shards of Honor and Barrayar) having read WA already.
