As for your friend with the serial asshole husband, at least she’s got friends like you to help her through it. When I went through that with the first husband I was alone in a state away from family and friends and it was horrible. ((((hugs to all of you))))

That was my story, also. I was 19, having my second baby and alone in CA with no family there. There is a real reason I never got married again. I saw little point to it after that.
