Off-season in Mendocino, Catalina, and Ocracoke is spectacular.

Actually, in general I just prefer off-season anywhere.

Three wondrous words: Ireland in October. Sure it can get a bit rainy, but still incredibly gorgeous. And those four gazillion shades of green need the rain to truly show off.
