Yeah, that’s the part of this that I can’t understand criticizing *any* administration. US citizens are subject to the laws of other countries when they break them. Holy balls, don’t effing go to North Korea or Iran. Just don’t do it. And if you ignore that piece of advice, don’t break the fr*ckin law while you’re there. It is not the responsibility of the US government to protect you from criminal charges when you *actually break the law*.

I have more sympathy for the kid in the Phillipines who was caned. Spitting on a sidewalk (or spitting out gum…I don’t recall what) was stupid for the punishment given. Yet that is their law.

This kid was playing with fire and he got burned. He got burned badly and horrifically. But when you talk about the security of a nation compared to a kid, I side with our country.
