We agree completely on par 1.

Par 2 hangs on you word ‘urgent’. Urgent is good. Effective is critical. When urgent action produces ineffective results we find ourselves on the way back to the 50s.

I want to know where all the urgent action was in the months before November, when it might have made a difference. Trump’s victory and that of his fascist crew was no mystery—the forces against him went lackadaisical and self-indulgent, doing the minimum thought necessary.
