if kavanaugh doesn’t make it, republicans need to pray like hell that Democrats don’t gain a majority in the senate. If they do, they will control who Trump puts forward, and trump is amoral enough to where he isn’t going to care who that is, as long as he gets credit for the nomination.

My only fear is that a rejection of Kavanaugh will ignite GOP voters so that they can get their repeal of Roe. Of course, maybe leftist Dem voters will finally understand the importance of the SC and be encouraged to vote too, instead of complaining that moderate office-seekers must be punished because they are tools of the establishment.
