Unless a movie is a documentary, don’t expect it to be a faithful accounting of what really happened. Usually, there is an advisory that the film is “inspired by real events” or “based on a true story”

Even Hidden Figures, which tried so hard to be as accurate as possible in almost every detail, had a historical error.

That scene where Katherine Johnson (Taraji P Henson) had to run halfway across the complex to find a bathroom she could use… turns out, NASA was the one place in the entire State of Virginia that didn’t have segregated bathrooms.
