A friend on FB posted this yesterday.

Ok, so our President is a lying pig who didn’t collude with the Russians to steal the election and didn’t obstruct justice because his underlings wouldn’t follow his direction to do so. Can we move on?

I find it an amazing argument, that the President is a lying pig, who didn’t obstruct justice even though he ordered justice to be obstructed, because his underlings didn’t do as he ordered, and so we should ‘move on’.

Our President has criminal impulses, and give criminal orders, but we can trust that they won’t be carried out, because unelected staff and cabinet members - most or all of whom have resigned or been fired - will simply not carry out his orders? Really?

This is like arguing that, even though you were TRYING to hire someone to kill your spouse, because it turned out to be a cop who didn’t actually KILL your spouse, you didn’t commit a crime. It’s an extraordinary piece of normalizing criminal behavior.
