As someone who was working, let’s say “adjacent”, to the decision making in converting carriers to electric catapults, I can assure you that the whole issue is so far beyond Trump and his slavish followers that he might as well be talking about ribosome replication an his audience wouldn’t know the difference.

As someone who played nuke-electrician on the John C. Stennis, I’m all for catapults going electric. Steam is not simple, not when you use a nuclear power plant to heat it.
