Since Judge Garland already has a job on the appellate court, and he knew what a crap show he was getting into when President Obama nominated him, I wonder if he or Mr. Obama would withdraw his name from consideration the day after Mrs. Clinton is elected.

The reason would be Senator McConnell’s: The American People should select the next Supreme Court justice.

I do have some concerns about being that openly political about Supreme Court nominations myself. I also don’t think it’s right to screw over Garland by Clinton not renominating him either but your mileage may vary.
