I was born in Lancaster. Lived in Columbus most of my childhood. A visit to Sherman’s birthplace was pretty much part of jr high school history classes for everyone back in the day. Along with actual education in civil war history. None of this bullshit state’s rights nonsense either. When I moved to Georgia over 30 yrs ago, the difference in education standards was really stark. It hasn’t improved much either.
