My county has updated the page so I have more data to play with! Still waiting on today’s numbers but I can say there are ~150 tests pending in the county. Our positive rate has been ~11.5% with the average turnaround time of 2.5 days.

Also, there are currently 118 ICU beds in use in the county, of which 90 are occupied by COVID-19 patients. The good news is 66% of the ventilators in the county are currently available!

Speaking on that gender split discussed earlier this morning, 53% of the cases diagnosed in the county are male but so are 75% of the deaths. This continues the pattern seen elsewhere.

I’ve been following the Italian news, as you know, and it seems that as time goes by, the average age of fatalities is dropping, and the sex ratio is also getting closer. Maybe younger people and women just take longer to succumb. I’ll keep checking those reports.
