This is wild. Somebody must have gained access to Twitter’s back-end admin tools. Possibly a state entity? Or a disgruntled employee?

In any case, it’s a very serious lapse in security. I’ve never seen a worse one, because the kinds of accounts that were hacked are capable of starting wars.
