I’m confused I thought McCarthyism and Joseph McCarthy were a good thing to the Palin crowd. And it’s very insulting of Bill Kristol to make this analogy. Sarah hasn’t lost her job or livelihood due to the criticism of her by the left. Hell, she’s richer than ever and loving her life as a political kingmaker for the nutcases on the right.

The essence of McCarthyism was govt-led witch hunts. There’s none of that here. Kristol is just angry that the candidate he tried to groom and get elected clearly is losing her stature as a credible general election contender.
