Yeah I think cooking intensifies he flavour, which in the case of these items is a bad thing. The worst of all are sprouts or ‘devil’s gonads’ as we call them here.

Ugh, I have a friend who’ll boil a bag of Brussels sprouts and eat the whole pan full. She loves ‘em.
