Yeah, the evidence-less accusations of coverup-ups and intentionally deceiving the public are so far beyond the pale it’s maddening. If only the media would hold U.S. Congressmen & women to a high enough standard where such baseless character assassination would carry a heavy political cost. In any case there’s little the WH can do if the opposition party is behaving this way, with the parliamentary dysfunction the Senate Minority wields through blanket holds on entire slates of federal appointees and with the GOP having the house locked in, likely until redistricting comes around again, as committee chairs like Issa submit endless requests for 10s of thousands of documents all across the gov’t, and then his huge team of investigators comb through them for items to cherry pick out, spin and selectively leak. In both bodies of congress they’ve mastered the art of gumming up the federal gov’t and drumming up constant political controversy out of thin air.
