And Now, the Creepiest Photo of the Year, by Far

Greets and saluts from the cold NYC metro area. Avoided the black ice scourge this morning thankfully as enough of the snow/ice on the roads melted away yesterday before the cold air came sweeping back in.

And Trump’s twits are busy on Twitter making all sorts of pronouncements over how the economy and nation will be great again, and that the economy was destroyed before but will be excellent going forward.

There’s so much baffling BS this morning that my feed has been overwhelmed with dumbassery that my block button is getting a workout.

1) If you think Democrats destroyed the economy, explain the sub 5% unemployment, DJIA, S&P 500 and Russell 2000 all near or above historical highs, corporate profits are soaring, and low inflation. All of that can’t be BS stats - especially since ADP and other private sector stat gathering entities are reporting solid economic conditions for most of the country. The places where things get shaky? GOP controlled states like KS and NJ, where tax cuts have put their state budgets in peril, and the safety net is in jeopardy.

2) These are the same people who caught the vapors when the Obamas noted that there was a history of racism and bigotry that we must address in the US, but when you point out people being bigots and racists now - that’s the deplorable thing.

3) Making America Great Again. It’s already great, warts and all - and striving to make it better and more inclusive doesn’t mean things are getting worse. White angry guys who think others getting rights they’ve had all along aren’t losing any rights or privileges, but they sure are making sure that others wont be able to exercise their rights - through voter ID and other suppression methods - which also hit poor white folks too (since there are far more poor whites in sheer numbers than any other demographic of poor even if PoC are disproportionately poor).

4) There will be no reprieve from Trump because the EC will vote to confirm the election outcome that Trump won the EC. There’s no easy fix, short of a constitutional amendment to fix. Don’t expect the GOP to go along with any of this, since they’ve now benefited twice in the past 8 elections of winning the EC despite losing the national popular votes by significant margins.
