I didn’t watch, but I saw someone comment that when it was blacks in cities dealing with job loss and the crack cocaine epidemic, there was a whole lot of no sympathy, vs now with whites dealing with job loss and the opioid epidemic, that’s different!

Yep.
It was pretty much a whole lot of “when is it going to be time for the government to pay attention to us white people?”
