Well, yes and no. I’ll be honest, if El Paso and Dayton had occurred a week or longer apart, the spike in public outrage would probably not be as large as it is. The proximity of such shootings is growing shorter and that’s the big thing that’s got the Repubs shivering right now.

What’ll really get the Congressional Republicans scared to death is if these mass shootings start becoming a daily occurrence.
