Was involved in some incident in 2007:

Her injured co-worker, Scott Dekraai, 38, of Long Beach was undergoing treatment for a broken leg and other injuries.

County firefighters, sheriff’s deputies and U.S. Coast Guard officers responded to the calls for help about 11 a.m. Marina del Rey sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Tatar said the tug operators had released one rope from the larger vessel and were in the process of releasing the second rope when “one of the lines pinched one of the victims.”

“While in the process of dealing with that line, it somehow swung across where she was standing and pinched her and killed her,” Tatar said.

The line then struck Dekraai.

Earlier reports Tuesday indicated the line had snapped, but that was not the case, authorities said.

Cameron was in cardiac arrest when firefighters arrived. Lifeguards transported her to the Marina del Rey dock and then she was taken to the Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center Marina Campus in Marina del Rey, where doctors pronounced her dead.
