Well, I’m breathing a sigh of relief, seems the “cone of uncertainty” has moved well north of here, so Sandy shouldn’t be making an appearance beyond a lot of wind and rain. Not that those are every something to take lightly, but still.

My friend is downplaying this whole thing. I showed him the satellite loop then walked outside and pointed to the clouds from the outer bands of this thing. But then again, in 2004, he brought all the contents from his freezer to my house because he lost power. I’ll guess that 50% of people in Florida aren’t prepared for a hurricane. Up here I’ll bet it’s more like 75%.
