Once it was out that they had thrown out the first script in order to get a more “action movie” one written it was obvious that crap was going to be the final product of that effort.

There was some talk that they also had to leave out the part of the Chinese illegal organ market as a major source of zombie contamination to avoid complicating things with the Chinese moviegoer market.
