Yeah. Ritchie Blackmore would stage the destruction of cheaper guitars. Have empty speaker cabs they would torch. Saw a video where he pushed two 4X12 cabs off stage…Nope. Ain’t happening if they are real… Just staying in the realm of guitarists, I never got it. But from a showman, I got the money, I can buy another, “Bobby can you light your hair on fire”….Yeah. I get it. Pete Townsend had to do something when Keith Moon blew up the world. Hendrix made a statement. SRV, well I think he actually went places when he played. He certainly was high enough in the earlier days…They say some “channel” and do what some would call mystic..IMHO, SRV would do that. He left that stage. He was somewhere else. I would never ever attempt to play VooDoo Chile….Nope. I can do a reasonable version, but…no. To me scared ground.
This is magic. SRV is not there. Same concert.
