That’s why I said it’s PART OF THE job. I don’t think one can honestly disentangle the sex object aspect from the job as a whole. They won’t hire a woman who doesn’t look good in the costume, for example.

The thing is, 1) I don’t think that having a job that is partly being a sex object is inherently a bad thing. And it doesn’t define who these women are - this is a job they do. And 2) being a sex object IN NO WAY justifies the treatment they got and the things they were expected to do, as detailed in the article.

Not to pick on you but just the fact that all are discussing this using the term “sex object” is the core of the problem, isn’t it?
