Hell, stores in Seattle carried them even when I was growing up 60 years ago. My Mom never cooked them, even though she was from East Texas. Never mentioned them really. Maybe my Dad vetoed them before I was born….

I never had them in Abilene, because both of my parents hated them. We were poor, but not that poor.
