The Van Jones “assholes” moment was crude and stupid, but more than that it was just plain weird.

Think about it.

Earnest Leftist Woman asks Jones how it could be that the Republicans, with only a few more than 50 votes in the Senate, could get a lot of legislation passed, but that the Democrats, with 60 Senators, could not. Jones’ answer; “They’re assholes.” (Cue laughter, applause.)

Excuse me? The Republicans get legislation passed with a bare majority, the Democrats fail to do so with an overwhelming, filibuster-proof majority, and the Republicans are assholes?

Say rather, the Democrats are incompetent boobs incapable of unified action, whereas the Republicans were able to engage in the bipartisanship that the Democrats prate about but do not practice.

Bipartisanship what? You mean using reconciliation to pass their bills with a slim majority. It has everything to do with the fact that the GOP knows how to get their soldiers in line, whether it’s behind a measure or in opposition to it. The Democrats can’t manage to get anyone in the party to agree on anything. Whether its opposing GOP measures or supporting their own measures.
