Perhaps you missed my dripping sarcasm. The left would love to portray the GOP as the party of wingnuts and radicals but when called upon to display their radicalism you can’t get more than a few hundred to show up at a capitol protest.

After the GOP supported Dede in NY and given their lackluster ability to support the most radical voices among them I suspect the great bulk of the center right who identify as life long GOPers aren’t anything like the nightmarish children of the corn scenareo we’re presented with again and again by the left and their media darlings.

I think that’s just the point. Even though the theocrat crazies don’t have the votes to win a Congressional election in a solidly Republican district, the entire GOP is slowly bending to their will. For Christ sakes, the House Minority Leader is a speaker at Bachmann’s event and several other Reps have shown their support.

Nobody is denying that the teabagger crazies are a minority in this country. What’s terrifying is that they appear to have one of this nation’s two political parties by the balls.
