I’ve been thinking that the reason Ryan & Co. wrote their bill so that the damaging, life-destroying effects don’t begin in 2018 is to protect their seats in midterm elections. This way, they can claim to have fulfilled their pledge to destroy the PPACA while not mentioning that many of those who vote for them in 2018 will lose their healthcare coverage after November 2018.

And none of their voters will remember why they can’t get health care by 2020.
