I just put a single play in Mega Millions, Powerball and the California Super Lotto jackpots figuring if the lightning is going to strike it will.

But then I have a coworker convinced that Jay-Zuss is going to bless her with the next jackpot and she buys $100 of tickets every week…

I normally play the lower-prize games with better odds (though they still suck), the multi-state 2x2 (well, multi-state as in Nebraska and North Dakota), and the Pick 3.

It was my wife who bought the MegaMillions ticket.

The proprietor of the store says I’m the only one in town who buys Pick 3 and 2x2 tickets.
