The village clerk here owns a bed-and-breakfast in town. She is divorced from the gun shop owner, but is still friendly with him.

One morning she awoke at the bed-and-breakfast to a whole herd (pod? murder? conspiracy?) of turkeys attacking her back door. She called the gun shop owner to save her; he came over with a canned air horn and drove them off.

Gosh. Seems like that would have been a good opportunity to fill the entire town’s freezers for Thanksgiving…
