yeah, okay, NY was 20% of the deaths because we got it first and worst. It had probably spread significant infections weeks before we had ANY deaths.

But now; other states are currently losing another more than a 1000 a day, and NYC hasn’t lost one in 3 days. Our continuing death toll Is somewhere around 5 a week.

So by the end of September, NY will be 12% of the national total.
By Election Day, NY will be 10% of the national total.

A huge part of the reason that NY got hit so bad at the beginning is that Trump fucked up with the travel ban so badly that people flooded back to the US out of fear and overloaded the international airports without any federal agents to speed everyone through. They turned into the first superspreader events.
