Fine, your opinion. However this is exactly what they should do. Distance themselves from the birthers. Stand up for the ‘planks’ in the tea party platform that they agree with, and put down the crazies. Of course you think they are all crazy. That is fine. A bit one dimensional, and closed minded… but fine.

They ARE the birthers. And the Birchers. And the paranoids. That is the core of their movement.

Read what World Net Daily puts up on their website. Listen to what Glenn beck says on his show. These people are speaking to a real audience. These people want to hear this nonsense. They agree with it.

And tell me that what they say isn’t crazy. Bigoted paranoia. Calls for theocracy. Calls for racist tests to weed out black people from voting. Anti-gay apocalyptic predictions. Birtherism. Manchurian-candidate style conspiracy theories.
