Probably a CUNY. I’m investigating their outcomes right now— how many students get jobs— but they have a master’s programs, they’re far cheaper than NYU, and more used to older students like me.

I was so half-assed the first time I was in college. I really should have taken a couple of years off before college before I went, to smarten up a little. The mistakes I made back then seem trivially easy to avoid now.

I hope you find some good outcomes information - it’s notoriously hard to get accurate data in that area, and not just because colleges try to avoid releasing anything that might make them look bad - it’s just hard to actually collect accurate data in the first place. If you’re doing a professional masters to go for a non-academic job then obviously networking opportunities are critical.

I sometimes wish I could go back to college and actually focus on learning stuff rather than making friends and having fun. Youth wasted on the young etc. Having said that I don’t really regret it - college was a lot of fun and I did actually learn some stuff that I still use from time to time.
