Internet service here is quite reasonable and fast - I certainly can’t complain. As to what accounts for the vast difference between the Czech Republic and the US, I honestly don’t know. Here in Ostrava, there are several ISP’s; three major ones and about five or six smaller ones, as well as one run by the city itself, but that’s WiFi and it’s not in all areas yet - it’s mostly confined to the downtown core.

Pretty much monopoly conditions for ISPs here.
