I want Americans to have more choices than just the 2 major parties, but now is not that time. Don’t be stupid, folks. Cast your vote for the lesser of two evils until such time as we figure out how to do this multiple-party electoral system properly. Because of the way the American electoral system is constructed, it lends itself to two gianormous parties, and it will take an act of God to undo that bureaucratic mess.

First step, which is doable because its been done in a blue state and a red state (Ca and La) is open primaries in which all candidates, regardless of party, run against each other, and the top two vote getters go to the general (or a run-off as in La). Another step, also doable, is to end gerrymandering, also accomplished in both a blue and red state (Ca and Az). Ultimately creating a multi-party system requires introducing proportional representation in congressional elections, but that is a much heavier lift.
