I am not given to alarmism or hysteria but I cannot ignore the evidence of my own eyes. Pogroms and vigilante terrorism are coming. The fascist hordes are already armed. They are counting on having a monopoly of weapons. Don’t concede them that monopoly: Arm yourselves and be ready. It is your right and your duty.

I’ve always considered getting a gun, but have finally decided I have to rule it out for myself, no matter how bad things get. If the Stormtrumpers show up at my door, there ain’t anything my little peashooter will do about it. Besides, I’ve got periodic depression (a bit worse while I’m unemployed) and occasional suicidal ideation, so it wouldn’t be smart.
