My internet is through my telephone company for $26.99 a month.
It’s crap service (I posted my speed the other night when you posted yours that is lightspeed faster than mine) but it’s the only game in town, so to speak, unless I decide to go with satellite internet. We’re wealthy, compared to most everyone else in this county, but I’m still undecided on the satellite option because it’s really pricey.

These phone lines in the holler have been here since the 1940s. Nothing has changed since then.

My Internet service is $110 a month. When you break down the telephone bill, it is about two-thirds of the bill.

By comparison, a year’s subscription to my regional newspaper is about $60.
