I wanted to visit it, but you need to book tickets well in advance. You can’t just walk in and buy tickets the day of. Also, it’s a bit far from Tokyo proper, so plan accordingly.

I actually just got back from my honeymoon in Japan! We visited the Ghibli museum and it was well worth the trip. We got tickets months in advance through a travel agency. While it is not in Tokyo proper, it is a pretty convenient subway ride and bus away (with lots of clear signs for the bus so even a non-Japanese speaker like me could follow it).

I am a huge Ghibli fan so me and my now husband watched a bunch of the films in anticipation of our trip! My favorite is still Princess Mononoke, though I have a soft spot for Howl’s Moving Castle
