The shooting was on Dec. 28. The district attorney’s decision was yesterday.

As for the review, they should do that.

The family is suing (if I read the article correctly, both the officer and the City of Wichita) for a violation of his civil rights. I’m not a lawyer, but my understanding the bar to clear in a civil suit is lower than a criminal case.

I’m not clear on the usage of “already.” Maybe I’m too tired waiting for the snowstorm.

“Already” relative to the police and citizen’s reviews, which therefore have no bearing on the possibility of charges.
