Right. I don’t know but the whole military respect and worship thing just feels so forced in this culture. We celebrate Memorial Day and Veterans Day as we should but I gotta admit there’s something that rubs me the wrong way about this mindset where you have to worship LEO and the military. Don’t get me wrong. I appreciate the sacrifices people make when they do that but for once I’d like to watch a baseball game or football game where they give thanks to teachers, diplomats, physicians, or anyone who makes a positive difference otherwise in their community. It’s not just the military and I’m a little tired of right wing veterans using their service to yes command that we have respect for them. This I admit is really hard to phrase but it’s exhausting ot me.
