More like the 1960s I think, which were still trying times. The biggest difference is that whites are about as divided as we can be, and minorities represent a larger share of the population. I’m not declaring it easy, but it’s a battle we can win if we think long term.

I think he was getting at that I was riffing on the House Divided itself kind used by Abe in 1858 against Stephen Douglas.
