I didn’t see anything offensive in it, especially considering that Christian fundies in particular view the Second Coming of Jesus as a fairly violent affair, all things considered. Oceans of blood, widespread desolation, slaughtering of the non-believers, that sort of thing.

I liked the pseudo-quote, “A less violent Passion of the Christ”. That made me chuckle.

Yeah it was really inoffensive. I mean these people offended about as you say believe the second coming is going to be a violent affair. And yeah that was a good one too. I thought of it more as a parody of Quentin Tarantino whose films I do like than anything. It’s kind of like when Sarah Palin and her daughter got angry at Family Guy for “making fun of people with Downs Syndrome” when the actual episode was more a mocking of self-proclaimed psychics.
