All the stupidity about being a “natural born citizen” just needs to go away, anyway.

Candidates have to be at least 35 years old? Sure, makes sense, I suppose.

Candidates have to have been a resident for at least 14 years? I think this is the most important of the three.

Just strike the words “natural born” and we’ll call it good.

As much as I fear a Cruz presidency, any lingering doubts about his eligibility are just a silly distraction. The same with Obama, McCain, etc.

I suppose that would take a Constitutional amendment, though, so it won’t change anytime soon…
