I suspect what drug down Obama in 2009 were the economy (and the constant media drumbeat of “the recovery hasn’t happened overnight, thus Obama is a failure”) and the partisan war that broke out over the ACA.

Which really says a lot about Trump, that he was handed what he declares is a “booming” economy and a stable country…and it has done fuck-all to eclipse just how repugnant a human being he is.
