There is so much homeschooling going on and it is damaging this country. There I said it.

I am not sure how it is all judged by the state to be comprehensive and thorough. The education seems to be open to being limited and narrow many times with overly religious teachings and slim on science, civics, history and to me the biggie…social interaction with others you would have if you attend a classic school. Plus, if there is just a parent or parent teaching, their biases will weigh in with no other teachers and students to balance it.

Education made this country strong at one time. Our public schools and education standards for religious schools worked. Now we are allowing it all to come apart and this country is paying for it.

According to the department of education a little over 3% of students are home schooled. For me that is 3% too many, but it is hardly enough to cause a collapse of the education system.
