I consider myself agnostic. Merry Christmas doesn’t offend me at all. I just choose to say Happy Holidays because A) not everyone celebrates Christmas but also because well there’s a big holiday a week after Christmas. Faux whines too much.

I used to be happy that the War on Christmas had not reached Germany, but I noticed that the media had started making a topic of it last year. That was also the year I took my kids shopping to buy Hallowe’en candy in October (Hallowe’en has started to catch on as a thing here) and had to walk past the Christmas chocolate displays.

I was about to go up and ask the shop assistant where I could find the Easter bunnies.
